I scoured the net for photos of the Madeiros girl, and couldnt find anything...So i took matters into my own hands and did screen captures myself. it was hard to pause on the right moment, but even harder to stomach watching this sequence over and over again. If you dont know what im talking about, you need to see REC - a Spanish zombie flick (not released in the US, but the remake; QUARENTINE comes out in october)
If you want to watch REC with english subtitles...i got it :) if you like zombies...youll love this movie. it has my stamp of approval.

Ghoulish Gary Pullin
Ok, so as many of you are probably aware, Gary Pullin is the resident artist for Rue Morgue Magazine. Good. God. Damn. This maniac produces some of the sickest horror work on the scene and has some particularly awesome zombie work. Check out his site, it will make you salivate like a freshly-turned shambler in a maternity ward.

One of the best zombie sequences ever.
This clip is not new to any one, But I thought I would trow it up here because it has been burned in my brain as one of the most spectacular zombie sequences i have ever seen. No other scene in zombie cinema has made me feel such raw panic.

Ravenous
Technically, Ravenous is not a zombie movie, it's about the Wendigo, but I think it qualifies under the same rules as 28 Days/Weeks Later. This movie is awesome, especially the Damon Albarn/Michael Nyman soundtrack. Definitely worth a shot, I think you can still find it in the Best Buy $5 bin.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
Dead Rising is a game that many of us have been waiting for. Trapped in a mall with hordes of zombies...and i mean hordes. The weapons range from hand guns, shot guns, bowling balls, toy swords, footballs, chainsaw, saw blades....basically anything you can find in a mall....brilliant.
This Gem of a game is currently released for the Xbox 360 (boo!) but will be released for the Nintendo Wii in late December.

Revenant Film Fest
October 11th, 2008 is the Revenant Film Festival orchestrated by Revenant Magazine! A solid 8 hours of tear-your-throat-out zombie cinema for a measly $15! If you are in Seattle, or in biking or driving or shambling distance of Seattle, get over there and partake in the bloodbath with many other fellow undead, it looks like it will be awesome. There are several sneak peeks on the website, and keep checking it for updates. Word.

Diary of the Dead
George Romero's newest project, a first person zombie invasion a-la Rec/Quarentine. It had a limited release earlier this year, no word on when it'll be getting a wide one. Reviews are mixed, but I don't think that's gonna stop anyone who's reading a zombie blog from going to see the new Romero flick.

Revenant.com has posted news about Nation Undead! Its only a matter of time before this gets real big, so lets start making some zombie films!
De-Animator
This game's pretty fun...click on the zombies to shoot them (get em in the head!) Shoot them as they rise from the ground for a one hit kill. When you use up six shots click again to reload! You find a shotgun around stage 2 or 3, hit shift to switch. It's a one hit kill but it takes longer to reload.
How far can you make it? I got to stage 11.

A zombie making sweet love to a cow
From Frank Cho's Zombie King #0. This was supposed to be a creator-owned miniseries for Image after Frank's Marvel work was done, but as far as I can tell only one issue came out back in '05. It would have been (will be?) pretty killer though if the first issue's any indication.
Aim High
This is a short film I worked on in an effects class at MCAD. I helped create and apply the main zombie's makeup, and I made the front of the fireplace. Baller.
