
 Apparently, in South America, female phorid flies are injecting fire ants with their eggs, using a needle appendage. The larva migrates to the ants head, and eats the brain, eventually controlling it to steer the ant away from the colony - to avoid detection and attack. The larva finally decapitates the ant, and squeezes out of the head.
